Archived trip from old website run by Mark Euston
A few of us are doing a trip down Pt Hut (grade 1-2) and Red Rocks (grade 3) on Sunday. There is the option to only do Pt Hut if you're not confident of being able to Red Rocks.
This trip is not suitable for beginner paddlers. Pt Hut is suitable for people with prior whitewater experience or with reasonable flatwater experience (i.e. can paddle strongly and have attempted to roll). Red Rocks is harder and only suitable for people that have paddled a grade 3 river before or who have done multiple trips on a grade 2 river.
We'll meet at the boatshed at 9am on Sunday and probably be back by 4pm (or 1pm if only doing Pt Hut).
Paddle Pt hut to Pine island where beginners will exit and return to the boatshed. Experienced paddlers will continue down Red Rocks to Kambah pools.
