Archived trip from old website run by AndrewM
The Canberra Balloon Spectacular is considered to be one of the best and longest running hot air ballooning events in the world. Held over nine days, pilots begin laying out and inflating their balloons on the lawns of Old Parliament House from 6.15am each day before ascending into the sky and creating an exhilarating back drop to our national attractions.
We will meet at the boat shed at 5:30am sharp to be on the water before 6:00am. Depending on the wind the lake can be one of the best places for watching the balloons.
Bring a Headtorch or some form of illumination. It will be dark when we head out.
Cameras and snacks are a good idea for this trip.

You must have done a "come and try" or kayaked with me before. Please let me know in your sign up.
Please bring a small light to attach to your kayak (white for front or red for back) if you have one, only one per boat is necessary but two makes it easier for the rowers to see you and know which direction you are heading.
If you have not registered and I do not know you, you will not be able to kayak. Do not just turn up.
