Come join myself and others for a day of radical trad-ical at point perpindicular. There's 8 spots altogether, one spot for an absolute beginner (i.e. never climbed outside). Others should have medium outdoors climbing experience, i.e. have built anchors before, know how to lead belay, can flake a rope, have placed trad gear before. Of course if you've only sport climbed you are welcome to join, depending on numbers we could have one experienced tradder with two moderates, other skills can be learnt on the day before we head out.
Equipment to bring at a minimum includes climbing gear (helmet, harness, shoes, 3x carabiners, 4-6x quickdraws, atc or other belay device, 2x prussick cord, 2x slings).
If people have trad racks could you please let me know, I have organised two so far, potentially three.
Depending on weather and how many hopeful tradders we get on the day, we'll make a decision at 9am to go ahead or not.
Interested attendees should click attend and email myself with details of experience (don't exaggerate it doesn't help anybody) and gear that you can bring.
Cheers :-)
Camp near point perp at honeymoon bay, drive to the crag in the morning, return in the arvo.
