This is a place holder at the moment as this trip going ahead requires another experienced climber to help lead the trip.
A day of sport climbing at Tianjara (https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/australia/nowra/new-nowra-braidwood-road/area/12017995). Most likely Saturday as weather is meant to be better then but if the forecast changes it may be moved to Sunday.
The trip is pitched at upper beginner climbers who have some experience outdoors, at least feel comfortable on a rope, and are happy tying in and know how to belay using an ATC. We will most likely be top roping for the day (set up by myself or the other experienced climber).
We will likely be in the Huskinson Homo (Ricky) and the (Graeme) Hill Top hoods area (https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/australia/nowra/new-nowra-braidwood-road/area/13247437) climbing mid teens routes.
There are no real costs involved other than petrol. It is about a 1.5 drive to Tianjarra, so you can expect to pay ~$10 per person for fuel. Unfortunately, there are only a limited number of spots available (6) so if the trip is well subscribed, some people can expect to miss out. If anybody has access to a car as well that would also be great!
The plan is to meet at ANU gym at 8am on Saturday morning. We'll do a full day of climbing aiming to be back in Canberra by 8pm.
Bring food, water, sunscreen, climbing shoes, harness and helmet.
