Archived trip from old website run by Ivan Dovana
As per the description. Route will follow Pabral, Two Sticks then Curries Rd.
Mt Coree is located about 30 minutes west of Canberra and is a popular site for climbers and 4 wheel drivers. The plan is to meet at the SRA at 0830, drive to the intersection of Curries and Pabral Rd then walk to the top of Mt Coree. The hike will follow an anti-clockwise route around the mountain following established fire trails and last around 4 hrs. At the top we can have brunch and admire views of Canberra from the west. Total distance is about 15km with a height gain of 800m. This trip is part of my rehab following a knee op, so don't expect to be running.
Please bring hat, layered warm and wet weather clothes, sturdy shoes, daypack, water, brunch and a camera. I will organise group safety gear.
