WARNING – This stunning alpine walk may cause a shock to the system and cause the walker to topple over in awe. Symptoms might include – Dropped jaw, saw neck, bulged eyes and a huge smile.
The plan:
Starting at Dead Horse Gap we will climb, climb, climb, above the trees and to the lofty reaches of the Main Range. The plan is to climb various peaks in the area including Southerly Ramshead, Ramshead, Twin Humps and Ramshead North. We will find a protected place to camp for the evening near the Ramshead. In the morning, we will make our down to the cars via the Dead Horse Gap track.
This walk will have some long and steep climbs. Keep this in mind when signing up.

By signing up to this walk you are making a commitment to attend.
If you haven’t walked with me before please give me a brief outline of your past bushwalking experience.
I will let you know if you will be on the walk no later than Monday the 29th of April.
If the weather looks bad, I will cancel the trip. The cancellation may happen as late as the morning of. Please keep this in mind when registering. Unfortunately, this is the nature of any trip to the high country.
Pre trip and transport:
We will have a pre trip meeting on Thursday the 2nd so we can go over the trip plan and organise gear.
If you can drive a second car please let me know when signing up.
