This is a sport climbing trip to Tianjara falls. There are several routes here, ranging from easy to medium to hard.
When you sign up, please do the following:
--If I haven't climbed with you before, outline your experience level. You need to have belayed in some form before in order to come on this trip. (e.g. you have a belay pass from a climbing gym). Beginner numbers are dependent on the number of experienced sign ups, so I may not be able to take you along if not enough experienced members sign up.
--Let me know if you have a car/can drive.
--Indicate if you have the COVID safe app or not
You will need to bring:
-a helmet
- belay device with locking carabiner
-climbing shoes
-harness
-sun protection:hat, sunscreen etc
-Water (I recommend minimum 1.5L) and food for the day
- Warm jacket, raincoat (looks like it's going to be a bit cold and it might rain!!!)
- a rope/draws/slings/carabiners if you have any (I'll hire some of these items for the group from the gear store but it would be great if you could bring your own if you have these items so I don't have to hire as much :) )
*** Note: you can hire climbing gear from our gear store (at ANU sport). Opening hours: 6-7pm thursdays. I will be there this thursday to help you out of you need.
Feel free to explore this link to get a sense of the climbing in this area. Most likely we'll climb around the huskisson-homo area but we can also climb in other sectors too.
