The broad plan is to paddle from Nanangoe Reserve to Gundagai as detailed in the Murrumbidgee River Canoe and Kayak Trail
The trip will be supported by car shuffles so camping gear can be left in the vehicles.
Timings:
02 Jan 22 Sun 1300 - Load boat trailer at boatshed
03 Jan 22 Mon 0730 - Drive to Nanangroe Reserve and unload trailer. Conduct car shuffle to leave vehicle/trailer at Jugiong.
03 Jan 22 Mon 1100 - Paddle to Jugiong
04 Jan 22 Tue 0730 - Conduct car shuffle to leave vehicle/trailer at Sandy Falls Reserve
04 Jan 22 Tue 0900 - Paddle to Sandy Falls Reserve
05 Jan 22 Wed 0730 - Conduct car shuffle to leave vehicle/trailer at Gundagai
05 Jan 22 Wed 0900 - Paddle to Gundagai
05 Jan 22 Wed 1500 - Load trailer and return to Canberra.
Each participant will need:
As per trip description. Vehicles may be left up to 10km upstream from Sandy Falls to shorten the paddling distance on day 2.

05 Jan 22 Wed 0730 - Conduct car shuffle to leave vehicle/trailer at Gundagai
05 Jan 22 Wed 0900 - Paddle to Gundagai
05 Jan 22 Wed 1500 - Load trailer and return to Canberra.
Each participant will need:
- Paddling gear
- Kayak (single or double)
- PFD
- Deck
- Paddle
- Paddling clothes
- Clothing suitable for warm and inclement weather
- Booties, canvas shoes or thongs
- Hat, gloves, sunglasses
- 1 x light sources
- Water (minimum 2L per day)
- Food and snacks (4 day trip)
- 3 x breakfast
- 4 x lunch
- 3 x dinner
- Camping gear including:
- Camping clothes (including wet weather and emergency thermals)
- Towel
- Sleeping bag and mat
- Tent (may be shared)
- Cooking gear
- Personal first aid kit
- Sunscreen
- Toilet paper
- Towel
- Money
- Dry bags/Garbage bags for waterproofing gear
Group gear will include:
- Navigation equipment
- PLB
- Mobile phones
- First aid kit
- Throw ropes
- Sponges
- Pumps
- Spare paddle
