Hi everyone. Hope you're doing well. Next Tuesday’s a public holiday so I thought I'd put up a climbing trip for those that are interested. This trip will be beginner friendly, but we may have a limit on the number of beginners we can bring. I will email everyone on Sunday night to tell you if you can come and to organize the car pool. The estimated fuel cost will be divided evenly amongst everyone in that car, so ideally drive back to Canberra in the car that you came in.
We will leave in our respective cars at around 7:00 from ANU Sport and aim to arrive at Tianjara falls at 9:00. We will start packing up at around 16:00, aiming to leave the car park at 17:00, and arriving at Canberra at 19:00.

Necessary Gear: Helmet, harness, climbing shoes, shoes that you can hike in, layers in case it gets cold, rain jacket, minimum of 1.5L of water, lunch/snacks, sunscreen/other sun protection, and head torch. I will borrow ropes, quickdraws, ATCs, carabiners, PLB, and anchors for everyone to use.
There will be no pre-trip meeting but please come talk to me if you have any questions about the trip.
The more experienced climbers who will be teaching you are NOT certified guides, so the emphasis is on you to stay vigilant and try to be safe to your greatest capacity. Here are some youtube videos to get you started.
