I've been telling people who I've been teaching various outdoorsy skills that I'd really appreciate some help moving fallen timber, weeding fruit and vegie patches, spreading mulch and doing odd jobs around the property. Wellll, if that's you, this is your (1st) big chance to balance the ledger. But I also really feel like a fun weekend doing stuff like paddling on the dam, bouldering, swimming, bushwalking, eating blackberries and raspberries, playing live music (drummers and keyboard players needed), spike ball, Dixit, Diplomacy, camp oven cooking, target practice and/or other fun stuff (slacklining, archery, table tennis, BBall, frisbee, etc). Whatever takes (y)our fancy. I'm also up for teaching newbies various outdoorsy skills you might need one day when the Yaks slope off with all your supplies. The dam is a really nice temperature at the moment, so bring some swimmers and a towel. There's lots of mattresses, tents and soft grass to camp on too. Sign up and we'll work out transport and logistics by email. You're welcome to join for as long or short as you like. My place is 30 minutes from ANU.
