Prior to my forced convalescence (having a knee op next week), I'm keen to host another BBQ/bushwalk/music session at my place. There's some beautiful marsupial-rich bush to wander through, a dam to paddle on, a bonfire/BBQ to enjoy, a pretty special bouldering cave to play in and a primitive music studio to plug into, with table tennis, spikeball, board games, etc as options. Also, Amit has said he'll set up a very nice 9" tracking telescope (if the sky is clear) and explain what we're looking at. There's a nice lawn to camp on, or sleep on the floor inside. Bring a plate/some (reasonably healthy) food to share (you can also heat it in an oven). Bring an instrument (acoustic or electric) and maybe some simple guitar chords for accompanists to play. You get the idea? We'll make it up as we go when we know who's coming, what they're interested in doing, and what the weather goddesses are playing at. Some guys are helping me get firewood together in the morning (if it's not snowing), but if you don't want to do that, show up after lunch, or any time after that. Let me know if you can offer/need transport and I'll try to arrange lifts for everyone. All the brown snakes are cuddled up in their homes for winter, so now's a good time to go wandering around the bush. Bring walking shoes and warm wet weather gear if you're keen. A walk could be anything up to 3hrs long. Bywong Hill has 360 degree views. I can lend tents and some camping gear, just let me know if you need anything.
