Mt Alexandra is a great little crag in Mittagong - a bit under 2 hours drive from Canberra. There are a plethora of well-bolted easy climbs, all densely packed together. This makes it a great spot to learn how to lead for any up and coming climbers. Happy to bring along 3-4 beginners max, and 2-3 cars worth of people, depending on the overall experience of the group. Preference will be given to people with a car as well. I'll send out a message to everyone on Wednesday night (12th of Feb) confirming that they are on the trip, do not assume you are on the trip if you have been accepted on the anumc website page. I'll make a messenger group chat that day as well.
I will hold a pre-trip meeting on Friday the 14th of February at 7pm in the gear store. Anyone that needs to hire gear/is a beginner must come to this and hire their own gear. I will not be hiring gear on your behalf. Anyone that I haven't met/climbed with before is encouraged to come along as well.
Attendees will need to bring the following gear with them:
- Sunscreen
- Lunch/food
- Climbing shoes
- Climbing harness
- 2x carabiners
- Belay device
- Helmet
- (Optional): quickdraws.
I'll hire out some club ropes and quickdraws, if required. Please list your experience and any equipment you need when you sign up. Any questions, feel free to shoot me message.
