The time is rolling around for another fun-filled weekend in the Kangaroo valley, visiting nearby crags, canyons, bushwalks, and paddling on the nearby waterways.
We will setup a big, friendly ANUMC tent city at Bendeela Recreation Area in the Kangaroo Valley. We will set up camp on the evening of Thursday the 24th. Stay through ANZAC day on Friday until Sunday evening the 27th of April. People are welcome to come for a subset of the days. We are aiming to have twelve trips of all different kinds over the three days. Trips are held around the region but everyone comes back to the communal camp each night.
Places at the KVE will be offered to trip leaders as a priority. Please, if you can volunteer to help lead trips for the KVE sign up at the link below and tell us what you can do.
Here are some ideas of past trips to help you think of what you could offer at KVE:
- Climbing at Thompson's Point
- Climbing at Nowra
- Hiking the Kangaroo River Firetrail
- Swimming at Beehive Point and then Seven Mile Beach
- Hiking the Canyon Rim & Fitzroy Falls (very early start)
- Climbing The Grotto
- A bushwalk on Three Views Walking Track
- Canyoning Bungonia
- Trail running
- Mountain biking
Otherwise, please register for this trip to express interest in attending the KVE. We will reach out to get details and finalise participants once we know how many leaders we have. Hiring from the Gear Store will be organized AFTER we have finalised the list of participants.
