This trip will be part of the Kangaroo Valley Extravaganza 2025. You can't sign up to this trip directly. You'll need to request to come to KVE. If you have been invited to come to KVE, check the trip allocation calendar to see if you're going on this trip. If you are coming to KVE, and you haven't been allocated a spot on this trip, but you really want to join, email Bill McAlister (bushwalking officer on the contacts page).
The walk
The trailhead is on Jacks Corner Road where it meets McPhails track, which we will follow for most of the walk. We head north most of the way up Mt Carrialou. We then head east, still on McPhails track, and drop down for a little while before finally heading south for a lookout on an unnamed spur next to Promised Land Track. We might have lunch here or earlier, depending on the time. Then we turn around and head back to the cars. If we proceed as above then the walk will be 15.6km return with a total ascent/descent of 691km, so it will test our fitness.
We might go check out Fitzroy Falls on the way back to camp, based on group consensus.
