Hello legends!!!
I will run a hike to Cotter Flat on July 4-5 (Sat-Sun). It is a relatively flat hike but it is quite long - 16k one way, so you need to be moderately fit. Cotter Flat is a very nice and spacious place to set up camp, do some reading, chill and hang out.
Beginners and first time overnight hikers are all welcome. This could be a large, sociable hike where new members of the club can meet each other and older members of the club.
Sharing a tent between two is encouraged since it's going to be cold and it helps cut down on the weight. Cooking dinner together with someone is also good if you are new to overnight hiking and this is your first time cooking with a tiny camping stove.
Please feel free to contact me if you are new to overnight hiking and are unsure if this hike is right for you. We will figure something out.
If I am not in contact with you by the night of the 24th of June please assume that you are not on the hike.
Pre trip meeting will be on 1st July.
