Mt Gudgenby bushwalk

Come and climb the 8th highest hill in the ACT! Featuring nice views, big granite boulders and slabs.

This trip is suitable for fit beginners, i.e. you should be comfortable walking for over 6hrs at a reasonable pace.

Total distance: 17km
Total climb: about 800m
Est. duration 7hrs

Depart 8am Saturday 7th, either from SRA or by arrangement with drivers.

What to bring:

Rain jacket

Whistle

Headtorch

Personal first aid kit

Thermals or Wool jumper

Sunscreen

Lunch & snacks

Water

Gaiters and long sleeved shirt recommended

Please attend the pre-trip 6pm Thursday 5/5 at the gear store

As per website description:
Head SW from Carpark on Old Boboyen road until firetrail.
Follow firetrail roughly W along Bogong ck until edge of clearing.
Marked trail until Gudgenby saddle then N up to Gudgenby summit.
Descend E off Gugenby then follow watercourses back to clearing with firetrails.
Aim to return to vehicles by 5.30-6pm.
