Keen to try some outdoor climbing? Are you just getting into climbing, or are an experienced indoor climber looking to try out some real rock? This trip is for you!
This trip is a beginner-friendly climbing trip to one of the closest crags to Canberra, Wickersack Crag. The day will consist of leaving ANU Sport at 8am, car pooling to the crag and walking in (about 1km), climbing for 2-3 hours, and arriving back by about 1pm.
There is room on this trip for;
- 3 Beginners
- 3 experienced climbers
If you're an experienced climber looking to learn how to lead trips, set up top ropes, or looking to volunteer to help get beginners outdoors, sign up!
What you need to bring:
- Water (2L)
- Sun protection
- Snacks
- helmet and harness (if you own these)
- shoes (can be hired from the gear store on Thursday evening)
All other gear will be provided by myself.
When signing up, in the comments section please indicate:
- If you are a beginner or intermediate/advanced (if there are too many beginners some registrations may need to be canceled)
- If you are able to drive!
There will be no pre-trip meeting, instead I'll get in contact with you before the day by email or fb. Hope to see some old and new friendly faces on Saturday!
