This activity is aimed at members with some kayaking experience who are interested in becoming kayaking trip leaders.
PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU HAVE NEVER KAYAKED OR DO NOT INTEND TO LEAD TRIPS
The winter solstice is behind us and spring and summer are just around the corner. There's no better time to put your hand up to learn to lead kayaking trips.
We will meet at the boatshed and go over:
- Boatshed orientation
- Gear
- Kayaking safety policy and procedures
- Creating a trip
- Risk considerations and management
After this we'll grab some boats and head out onto the lake.
Before signing up, please read the Club Safety Policy and Procedures (pages 1-10 and 32-34)
