Cocktails On The Castle

It's time for the annual cocktails on the castle. This is a long-running ANUMC tradition where we hike up the Castle and have (as the name suggests) a cocktail party! The castle is an amazing mountain down the south coast with amazing views over Corang, the Budawangs and out to Jervis Bay and the ocean. It is a challenging walk with some rope sections and rock scrambles so this will require a fairly high level of fitness. It is convention to bring a suit/dress, fancy food and drink, and even musical instruments to break out and enjoy at the summit, which leads to a heavy (but worthwhile) pack.

The plan is to leave ANU early on Saturday morning as it as a three hour drive to the carpark, we will hike up along the Castle track, aiming to reach the final summit approach mid afternoon. Once we reach the top we'll set up camp, have our party, take lots of amazing pictures and rest up up for the descent the next day.

This trip will be challenging but lots of fun.
